New strategic partnership aims to drive zero incidents for fleet drivers

A new collaboration will improve fleet safety through AI-enhanced driving monitoring and training.

London – 16 June 2024 – Solera, the global leader in vehicle lifecycle management and claims, has today signed a deal with Motormax, a fleet safety specialist with over 25 years of experience, to distribute Solera’s SmartDrive video and safety platform.

With the pressures on fleet managers and drivers to be more productive increasing, there’s also a risk of an increase in road incidents.

Keeping drivers safe and vehicles on the road, SmartDrive combines AI-enabled video safety, advanced analytics, telematics, and compliance apps into a single box to improve fleet safety.

The cloud-based platform provides a complete overview of fleet safety as the solution’s AI understands and monitors driver behaviour, plus the road conditions and provides guidance to improve driver skills. In the case of a road incident, the technology provides evidence instantly.

Commenting on this new strategic partnership, Jog Lall, business development director, Solera, said: “It’s great to be working with Motormax to improve safety across the fleet sector. They have developed a fantastic reputation and work with some of the industry’s biggest names. We believe SmartDrive is essential in taking fleet safety to the next level while enhancing operational efficiency thanks to advanced scheduling tools and intelligent route planning.

SmartDrive is part of Solera’s Fleet Solutions, a digital hub enabling fleets to operate safely and efficiently. The technology proactively eliminates risk and optimises operational performance by reducing incident frequency, exonerating drivers, lowering fuel costs and reducing a fleet’s carbon footprint.

James Haycock, co-founder and director of Motormax, said: “There’s no doubt fleet operators believe AI-enabled video safety technology is an essential tool to ensure the safety of their drivers, other road users and to keep their vehicles on the road. We are delighted to be representing Solera and strongly feel both companies share business values and perspectives on bringing pioneering new technology to the industry.”
