Solera’s In-State Electronic Registration and Titling Systems (ETR)

During the current outage, our in-state electronic registration and titling systems (ETR) have been crucial. These systems allow dealerships to issue temporary motor vehicle registrations, including temporary plates, enabling them to continue delivering sold vehicles without delay. This workaround is especially vital in the absence of CDK’s Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR).

Problems Solved

This fix is a lifeline for several key roles within dealerships:

  • Sales Teams can continue closing deals and delivering vehicles.
  • F&I (Finance and Insurance) Departments ensure that all necessary documentation is in place for new vehicle sales.
  • Office Administrators manage the administrative tasks associated with vehicle registration seamlessly.

The core issue at hand is the requirement for vehicles to be registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) before leaving the dealership. With our ETR systems, dealers can issue temporary registrations, allowing customers to take delivery of their vehicles on the same day. This solution maintains the customer experience and ensures that dealers can uphold their commitments despite the ongoing outage.

The implementation of this solution has been impressively swift. We have managed to roll out these installations across approximately 70 locations with a turnaround time of one day or less.
